January UFO Done...at least for now

This is my Critter's Quilt top. It's as done as I'm going to get it for now. I have all the trees, leaves, and animals ready to go for the border, but I just don't know if I want the quilt exactly like the original. So, it's going to hang on my design wall, until it "tells" me what it wants. :)
Ready for February!

Baby Quilts Finished...at least my part.

I finally finished quilting 2 baby quilts. Yippee!
Marcia will sew on the binding and they will be completely finished. (I laid the quilts on the binding fabric to get an idea on what the finished product will look like.)

The Prairie Womens Sewing Circle had 27 ladies! Quite a group! Cathy and I were nervous throughout the day, leading up to class. It didn't go too bad. I did think of lots of things I should have said/taught after class. Go figure.

Still lots to do. I haven't been able to work on my Critter Quilt and it is supposed to be complete by Monday night. Urggg...I'd better get busy!

Yo Yo Table Topper

Just a few more hours til the Prairie Women's Sewing Club. Actually, it is a couple of days, but it will probably seem like hours.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I don't really freak out when things don't "match". But when I looked at the picture of the Yo Yo Table Topper in the last post, I noticed that little circles in the border were "wonky". So, I spent 2 days ripping the borders off and matching the circles. Now, 10 years ago this probably wouldn't have taken no time at all...but not this time. Time and circumstances seem to have taken the best of my brain and turned it to mush. Everything takes longer and I must be very deliberate in the process. Lately, even speaking/communicating seems harder. This may be why I'm nervous about teaching class on Monday. However, I know that the room will be filled with friends/co-workers and Cathy will be by my side. AND Cindy said she will sit in the front row and "take care" of any trouble makers! Why should I be worried!

Last night I was treated to a performance of Fiddler on the Roof at the Morris Center. It was delightful and made possible by a very generous gift. Jean, Darlene and I had a wonderful time.

Seneca Falls

So...I was getting a couple of projects together to take to work tomorrow and found that I had forgotten to put the borders on Seneca Falls, one of the projects of the Prairie Women's Sewing Circle projects. Glad I noticed it now! This class starts in just 2 weeks! It seems that I had at least 6 months to prepare to teach this class with Cathy. How time flies!

January UFO Challenge Begins

UFO Challenge 2011 January Pick is....#6. I've been working on this quilt for about 8 years! It is probably the one that I wanted to work on the least...which is good. Maybe I can finally get it done and it won't haunt me. I have to take this:

and make it look like this:
